John Stirling born Paisley Scotland

I'm looking for the parents & any siblings of John Stirling born in Paisley around 1800.He married Janet Brown from Balfron on the 18/5/1821 & had six children living with him in Alva in the 1851 census.He died on the 31/1/1879 aged 78 at 33 King St Stirling.On his death certificate it gives his fathers name as William but no mothers name.Any help would be appreciated.

just change year 1800 and leave other one

then click on search and it will come up with one name

                       But I've already tried that & haven't been able to find a match.I've also tried Scots Origins with no luck.I've got his death certificate Which gives his fathers name as William & census records from 1851,61 & 71 all give his birth place as Paisley & date of birth works out at 1800 give or take a year.I also sent of for what I thought would be his marriage certificate but ended up getting a proclamation of banns which doesn't give his parents names.I'm afraid I've hit a brick wall & have no Idea where to go from here.I've thought of going to Paisley but I've got no Idea where to start looking if I did.Ideas from anyone would be really appreciated    Walt

                         I've had a look at this family & they had a John Christend on 27 Dec 1789.To early to be my John.But they seem to be the only family with the father named William having children at that time in Paisley so I keep wondering if the first John maybe died & they had another child later & give him the same name but I've no idea how to find out if he did die or why if they had another John  he wasn't registered.I do know that there is no details of John & Janet Browns children anywhere the children I have found to them I got of censuses.So maybe Johns parents hadn't registered their children either.Is there any way of finding out who are the  parents of children who  been registered?I hope this makes sense   thanks Walt
