Hi Jason
Was his name Wiliam Stowel Emmingham??
On the 1910 census for Idaho, Shoshone Cty, Kellogg
there is the following family:

Emmingham,
William, 30, b Kansas (1880)
Esther, 26, b Wisconsin
William M, 6, born Kansas
Esther, 4, born Idaho
Bernardine, 2, born Idaho
Robert, 4 months, born Idaho

Esther (Essie?) is the mother to 4 children, all living (as above).  She and William had been married or 7 years (approx 1903.)

Perhaps they married in Kansas?

It should be possible to work backward on the census to find him on earlier ones.

As Josephine asked, do you have any of those??

Regards,
Valerie :)

Hi Jason
http:/www.familysearch.org (free from LDS site)

On the US 1880 census for Kansas, Marshall County, Blue Rapids.

Emmingham,
William, 48, born England, parents born Eng. Farmer
Louise, 38, born NY, parents b NY
Cornelia, dtr, 8, born Kansas
Catherine, dtr, 6, born Kansas
Charles, son, 5, born Kansas
William S 7 months, born Kansas
Cyner???, son 3, born NY

Also in the household
Vose, William C, BIL, 50, b NY Works on Farm
          Harriet 48, SIL 48, b NY

As William, on later census states that his father was born in England and his mother in New York, I strongly feel that this is him but you must decide for yourself. :)
