Unfortunately the 1871. Census will not be out until
spring of 2005.

I am not always sure which are out and which are not! Do you have any access to marriage records perhaps for John and Annie? Probably around 1862 and i would think Whitwick or environs.

Who has the Access to 1871.

Sorry couldn’t find them on the 1871. Census.
Or any marriage details. . .

Has John was a collier he wondered if he was on the Night shift on the night of the Census
And no one was at home that night.  ?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the effort - i do have this info as well as John jnr, my hubbys grandfather, and albert in 1901. Incidently they took great detective work to find them - they were listed as Poforn!!! a great transcription for poxon!
