Langdale End  about 6 miles north of Ayton in North Yorkshire.
Ayton is on the A170 from Scarborough,

Thankyou so much for the photo. Wouldn't it be lovely to know the names of the people. I guess just seeing the landscape and house still gives us some idea of what life was like then. Do you have any idea of the date or just a guess even. Thanks again Kath

I would think late 1800 early 1900's.

This is half of a stereoscopic pair, this form of photography became popular with those who had the money, after Queen Victoria saw it demonstrate at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851.

No doubt the experts will soon add the correct answer.
