go to your local reference library and look in Crockfords. There is an online version but  the library will give you more scope to search.
 good luck

Dear Sadietoo
If Crockfords fails you because you can't get access to a copy old enough, try writing to the Archivist, Lichfield Diocesan Office, Lichfield, Staffs. (preferably enclosing sae).  It's worth a try.
Best wishes
Linda

What date are we looking at - if he was alive in late 1890s, I may be able to help.

There is also this site:

http://www.theclergydatabase.org.uk/

but beware, it is a work in progress and nowhere near complete.

Might be able to help here too! We have quite a few old Crockfords at the University - if you could let us have a date....

I have Crockfords for 1865 and 1951 so if he fits either of those let me know.

Hi, is it worth contacting the church where they worked as well as I also have a couple of ancestors who were ministers about the first half of the 1700's.
