*Completed*1841 Census Look up
« on: Sunday 09 April 06 20:30 BST (UK) »
If anyone has access to the 1841 Census for Basingstoke, and especially for Basing Lodge, could they please tell me if there is any sign of James and Ann MORGAN there in 1841?

I am looking to see what other members of the family may have been living with them at that time.

Many thanks

Philip Candy

There would be no address index for 1841.
What ages have you for this couple?

Pauline

Many thanks for your reply, Pauline. James senior was born about 1792 and his wife Ann about 1794. They were both born in Somerset.

They might also have with them their daughters Mary Ann (b 1820); Anna (b 1822) and sarah Maria (b 1828) or their son James (born in 1831) also in Somerset. With luck there may be other members of their family at home too.

It would be great to locate this family; I have them in other censuses from 1851 onwards but not the 1841.

Many thanks
