George PETERS b. 1812 Bexhill, Sussex who married a Harriet ELRIDGE in 1845 in Westfield, Sussex.

Richard WENHAM b. 1881 Guestling who married a Sarah MARTIN in 1831 Hollington.

Richard BREEDS b. circa 1829 who married a Harriett WILLIS in 1849 in Hastings.  Children I'm aware of: Rachel (1850) Richard (1852) John (1853) Sarah (1858) Caroline Mary (1860) Alfred (1877)

Also Richard BREEDS (father of above mentioned) who was born 1800 and married Benedicta in 1825.

Rather alot I know....  any help you can give me would be wonderful.

“Few fishermen go by their proper names, nicknames are universal.  A man may be christened Tom Smith, but few people know who was meant under that name – amongst his comrades he may be known by some queer term as Tipper, Toller, Wintry, Podger, etc.

Breede Fishermen were known by the nicknames:
Tiny. Bones, Cockem, Old Beardy, Old Towse and Bobey Rucks.

Breeds Place in Hastings was completed in 1828 by James Landsdell, who married Martha Breeds, a member of an old Hastings Family.  First inhabitant of Breeds place was ‘The Duchess of Marlborough’
