1851 Census LookUp for Marylebone
« on: Friday 14 April 06 18:25 BST (UK) »

Hi There,
Wonder if anyone can help me with a look up for:

John Goodman aged abt 65/71 years servant
Eliza  wife        aged abt 65/71 years servant
Eliza  daughter aged 10 years

They were living at 2 Johns Court in 1941 at the time of Elizas' birth.
would really appreciate the help,
Forbes  :) :)

Hello Forbes,

Are you certain of the ages of John and Eliza ?

I think it's unlikely that Eliza would have given birth to a daughter when she was aged between 55-61???

Do you have Eliza (junior) on any census?

I have found an Eliza living with her married sister in 1851, but don't know if she is the correct one???

Hi Suz,
Not sure what happened but the request you answered was not as I typed it. I believe that when Eliza was born in 1841 her father, John was about 24 years and her mother Eliza was about 23 years. They were married in 1838 in Marylebone.
thanks for replying and for the help,
Kind Regards,
Forbes

Hi Suz,
Thanks for all the time you spent on looking for the Goodman family. My computer decided to die so I have been off air for some time having it resurected. You have given me something to work on. Thanks again,
Forbes :) :)
