The Quarantine Board is one which is not visible to users.  We move a post/thread there if we think the content is dubious or controversial and need to "think" about it.

We use it mostly for posts that ask questions and contain information on living or possibly living people.

We take the protection of people's identity very seriously so we move a post to quarantine for editing to make it less revealing of info.  We would rather edit than delete if possible and "Quarantine" is the board we use.

Hope this helps,
Pam

Thanks Pam,

It's nice to know that Rootschat take that kind of thing so seriously.

Chris - I never would have known it was there unless you had said  ;)

Thanks Pam for that concise, explicit explanation. I was discussing the matter with another member on the phone this afternoon. We had no idea why Rootschat would need a Quarantine board. We thought maybe the messages had picked up a virus.  I agree with Wendi. It is great that Rootschat take such care over the messages they receive.

Chris.

For assurances, there is NO WAY you can transmit viruses through Rootschat - it's one of the reasons attachments are limited to pictures and simple text files on the opsts.

Cheers,
