marriage details

Could someone please help with details of a marriage.  I have on the 1881 census William Oliver Ross married to Jane living at Alfred St Bishopwearmouth.  Both William & Jane were born in Sunderland in 1861 & 1862.  I have searched the GRO records covering 5 years & cannot find them, would like to know Jane's maiden name.  William's parents were Alexander & Mary Maria Ross, who lived at Anne St East, Bishopwearmouth in 1881.  Many thanks to anyone who can help.  Harv

A search of the Sunderland City Council site http://www.sunderland.gov.uk/pages/registrars/  shows a marriage of William Ross to Jane Hendrie in 1880. You can order the certificate direct from Sunderland if you wish.

ANNIE MARIA Ross 20 Sept 1863 same place, to ALEXANDER and Mary Maria DEFTY (may have died)
