Battrick in Anderson Dorset
« on: Monday 17 April 06 23:36 BST (UK) »
Most of my Battrick ancestors are from Bushey (Corfe Castle), until I get to my GGGGrandfather Edward b.1809 in Anderson, he married Mary Walter in 1832 and worked as a gamekeeper in Bushey. I think he had a brother Robert b.1802 also born in Anderson.
I would be delighted if anyone has any information on him, particularly his parents and where they were from.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks very much kali,
350 Battricks but not much on mine, both of their marriages are there but no births or christenings.
Oh well it's not meant to be easy.
Thanks again, I'll trawl through them all and hopefully find something.

Thanks very much Alli,
I have seen that information before, although if you look at the originals some of the transcription is a bit ropey, Holmfirth? Its Holme I think but not easy to read those old things.
I am exploring the possibility that Edward and Robert's parent were William and Amelia Battrick of Sturminster Marshall circa 1775, nothing concrete yet but right place and right time.
Thanks again for a great job.
