hope this is the right place

im tryin to find the people who lived at 13 conduct st oldham from the 1900s untill about 1940 could someone guide me in the right direction
names im searchin are keast (fathers side) marland, jones and bridgehouse (mothers side)

Hi Alison, and a warm welcome to Rootschat  ;D

As you live in Oldham I think a trip to the local library would be in order.  ( :P lucky that you live so close  :) ) they will have Directories from early in the century of who lived where that might help - and maybe other stuff, telephone directories and the like.

Hi Alison,electoral registers can be really useful too,they are a bit complicated at first but you get the hang of it-I've not used them at Oldham but in Manchester they have books where you look up the address and it gives you the election district name,and then a letter/numbers,it sometimes changes over the years but they should have all the info.Then you look for it on microfilm.
