Looking for the marriage of William Twitchett b1785 Belchamp St Pauls to a Mary unknown b1797 Ovington, marriage probably in Ovington around 1817. First child was born 1817 Belchamp St Pauls. Thanks,  Yvonne.

Hi Yvonne.
                   Had a look at the Ovington PR's today at the Essex Record Office.
  Banns for  William Twitchett & Mary Lavett 22/29th Oct & 5th Nov 1809 (D/P 409/1/3. P12/No 60 ) Couldn't find a marriage or burial in Ovington.
                          ALSO
  Marriage for William Twitchett & Mary Parker 2nd Oct 1815
(D/P409/1/4. P2/No5 ) after Banns 3/10/17th Sept 1815.(D/P 409/1/3. P14/No68).
 The second marriage does not say that he is a widow so that looks like another problem to solve.

Hi Malcolm,
Thank you so much for looking this up. Although I will have to do further research, I think the 2nd marriage is the one I am looking for. The age given by Mary in all the census is consistent with a birthyear of 1798, so she would have been to young for the first marriage.
