Bledlow, Bucks - Latitia ? m. Jos. TAPPIN 1700s

I've located the births for the children of Joseph and Latitia (and variations on spelling) TAPPIN, but cannot find the marriage or her maiden name.

First birth appears to 1767, daughter Mary.  My ancestor was Sarah, born 1769.

If anyone knows of a LATITIA (spelling varies) in the area of Bledlow, around the mid-1700s, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

The Buckinghamshire Family History Society has a county wide index (transcription) of Buckinghamshire marriages from the start of registers up to the start of civil registration in 1837.

Contacting them is by far the easiest way to find a missing marriage in Buckinghamshire.

I've since discovered Laetitia BECKLEY was born in Princes Risborough and married Joseph TAPPIN  there.

Hi to all concerned with the Tapping family of Bledlow

I am Ashley Deans of Uxbridge, England and have come to a point in my tree where my family is connected to the Tapping family through John Williams of Towersey. (My mother's side of the family).

I am interested in finding out about how far we can go back for Sarah Tapping (John Williams Wife). They were married in Bledlow 10th April 1792.

Sarah was the Daughter of Joseph and Letitia.

So far, I have the following:

Richard Tapping married Elizabeth Johnson 9th February 1740
Their Children: Richard (1741), John (1743), Elizabeth (1744) who was buried (1745), Joseph (1746), Sarah (1749), Samuel (1751) and William (1754)

Joseph married Letitia 6th December 1767
Their children: Mary (1767), Sarah (1769), William (1772), Elizabeth (1774), Lucy (1777), Hannah(1779) and buried (1780), Hannah (1781), Ann (1783), Joseph (1786)

Letitia buried 1811 aged 66 and Joseph buried 1821 aged 75

Richard Tapping (Son of Richard and Elizabeth) married Mary Carter 1768 and had Thomas in 1775 who was buried in 1775

Joseph Sheriffe married Sarah Tapping (Daughter of Richard and Elizabeth) in March 1769

I am now trying to put some other facts together

Hi all,

Baptism - St.Mary's P.Ris. - 2 Jan 1743 Laetiticia daughter of John & Mary Beckley.

No marriage for John & Mary in P.Ris. St.Mary's.

Although there are 2 burials for what maybe them.

John Beckley(Labourer) - 24 May 1751 (affidavit)
Mary Beckley(Widow) - 6 Nov 1778.

No ages given.

Thanks very much, Steve, and my apologies for not adding the info I have to my query (hard to keep up with what's been asked where).

I do have Laetitia's birth, her marriage to Joseph, and their deaths/burials. 

I appreciate the information on John and Mary and will check that out.

Again, Sarah and John WILLIAMS' deaths elude me, but I've not researched them lately.  Thanks for reinvigorating my search for them!
