glover family of hull
« on: Thursday 04 May 06 23:00 BST (UK) »
require some help in relation to the birth of my grandfather walter glover(1900),

he was the son of robert james glover and lavinia batty

i have him and his sisters florence and lillian on the 1901 census,  his brother robert john is living with the grandparents on the night of the census.

would anyone be able to tell me if there was anymore children born to robert and lavinia after 1901?

i have no details/dates of when lavinia and robert died,

have checked out the wonderful website yorkshirebmd but have come up with nothing.

robert was a bargeman and ran a barge called queenie,

last known address was 120 day street.

Alice Honora  9d 309

Mar Quarter 1907

Ernest 9d 299

Hope this helps

Hi again Joebhoy

I looked on the 1901 census that you refer to and Walter is described as 3 months old which means he is almost certainly the one recorded in the March quarter of 1901 (volume 9d, Page 298) so it would definitely be worth getting that certificate if you can.  If that is the case it probably means that John Charles is from a different family so you could eliminate him.

As for the others, hopefully some kind person will look them up for you in the parish records at Hull.

Best wishes
