1861 Census Look up

Can anyone find a John Lowther age around 8 in the 1861 census.
Father was William Lowther aged around 33.

I can see some that were born in Paisley, Yorkshire, do you have any idea where they may have been living or where born?

John was born in Faceby according to the 1881 census.
William in the Carlton area.
Hope this helps

Don't you just love these rellies!!  They seem to like hiding from us all,  I can see John in the 71 as a servant, also can see him on the 1901 as head of the household, but not as yet on the 61

I think you'll find that the ones which say born in Paisley are the family you are looking for in 1861.

Faceby is in the parish of Whorlton.  There is an ancestral file for this Lowther family on www.familysearch.org - don't treat it as gospel but a good starting point.
