Ship`s Name
« on: Sunday 07 May 06 19:38 BST (UK) »
I`m trying to find out about a ship that my father sailed on during WWII.I name i recall was something like Antroforma/Antofirma and thats as close as i can get to the name.It would have been during the later part of the war and he sailed into South Africa on it.It may have been some kind of troop ship as my father said that it was so packed that men slept in hammocks slung out over the ocean!I`ve searched most places so  can anyone outhere help?

Here's a list of all Royal Navy ships:

You have a bit of a search, but it may turn something up!

That said, it may be HMS Anthony, as that sailed for Africa in 1942.

Fingers crossed.
