Piper Austen + Biggs Sarah Eltham 1840
« on: Tuesday 09 May 06 09:33 BST (UK) »
Hi I have taken over from my father and his research that he did on and off over many years and have 3 Marriage certificates that for some reason he obtained for :-

Austen Piper and Sarah Biggs 19/04/1840 Eltham Parish Church.

For many years Dad was convinced this was an ancestor, but I have discovered this is not the case.

Get in contact if you have a link to either Austen or Sarah,

My researches are centered on the Piper name in Essex, main areas Downham and Toppesfield
Piper, Essex
Piper, London Hoxton Islington

I have discovered that Austen and Sarah emigrated to America, so if you live in America and have an Austen and Sarah Piper who had a son Arthur, in your tree, then these could be the ones.

Hi
I know this is a long shot as your message was posted a few years ago but I am only now doing the family history of John Piper and Jane Austen and Austen Piper was their first son, born 1815 in Eltham.  If you do still happen to have the marriage certificate for Austen Piper and Sarah Biggs I'd love to either have a scanned copy or just a resume of what's on it.
