Is anyone doing research on the name Copperwheat?

My grandmother was Harriet Elizabeth Copperwheat  b Marston,Beds Dec quarter 1871  Ampthill district.
She married John Totterdell Smart.b Islington. Mar quarter 1873. Regards Poli.

Thanks kali, i'm really not  100% sure because in the Ancestry 1881 there are 2 entrys for Harriet Copperwheat. The main thing i suppose is that the 2nd entry has an initial 'E' for a 2nd name which makes this Robert/Hannah family seem the most likely.  So i'll visit the 'family search'.  Poli.

             i do hope you find them, the one i posted seemed like a certainty to me but there are other copperwheat family's there which look like the previous generations and thier parents before them,  cheers and all the best, kali.

If there is a doubt  about which Harriet is yours you really ought to get the marriage cert, which will give her father's name.

Hi bedfordshire boy, i've had a look at the previous posts that you mention. The spelling of the name is different but it is quite likely that both spellings come from just one source originally.
I am going to send off for the birth cert and at least i will have a definite family line. Poli.

Hi- Re Copperwheat;  my sister is married to Alan Copperwheat whose father,b 1912 - was Cyril married to Kathleen Clayton(Both now deceased) Alan s famiily came from Marston Beds. Cyril's father was William Copperwheat no date for him yet. married to Sarah Holyoak from Chelveston beds. William's father was Henry Copperwheat b marston beds in 1812. He had a brother James Copperwheat and possible other siblings.

Any links to the TYSOE family...

My gt Aunt Ivy TYSOE [maried name: WORKER] had a sister who had married into the COPPERWHEATs and she & her husband lived in Green End nr Kempston in the 1970s..not sure of christian names as I always called them Mr & Mrs COPPERWHEAT when I drove over to see them. I used to take them their library books and we always had a cup of tea & a chat.

Ivy and her sister [Mrs COPPERWHEAT] died within a day or two of each other I know back in the 1980s and my Mum will probably know their christian names if I ask her.  We still have Aunty Ivy's 1968 Morris in the garage! Mum bought it from the estate but has never realy used it...

Ivy and my gt Uncle, Henry, had no children so I have never followed this family line.
