1841 census lookup for Elizabeth Lambert
« on: Wednesday 17 May 06 08:01 BST (UK) »
Elizabeth Lambert was born in 1833 at Bedford to James Lambert and Mary Franklin.

She is not listed with the family who were in Ampthill in the 1841 census so I was wondering if anyone can find her with perhaps her grandparents, Joseph and Mary Franklin.  Her paternal grandparents James and Ann Lambert were in Suffolk.

She turns up in the 1851 census as a visitor in New Street, Luton, name is spelt Lambart.

Thanks,
Heather

Hi Heather,

I can see this one in 1841:

HO107/10/13 3 1
St Paul, Bedfordshire
Clapham Road

James Lambert, 55, Brickmaker j, no (=not born in county)
Ann, 55, no
Elizabeth, 7, yes

Any good?

Wow, thanks for that.  Thought her grandparents were in Suffolk.  Will have to follow up on this line in Bedford now.  If not too much trouble can you find the grandparents James and Ann Lambert in the 1851 census.
Cheers.

I can't find them in 1851 but I see a possible Ann Lambert in 1861 and 1871, living with her daughter Mary A Walker. She is down as born in Halston.

Would you like the details?
