You made no comment on the Dropsy or the Dutch Middle Annie  ;)

How about him being there for the 1812 war, then - do you think he made his money that way?

Perhaps he married this Ann before he went?

Oh why weren't they sensible and try to write it all down  :-\

You read that stuff yet?

Thanks for the link - must check up on causes of dropsy  - wasn't it heart/circulation - explains a lot of his rellies probs.

Know anything about early marriages - perhaps he was an  early version of Lonnie Donegan ;)

First of all Gadget - In spite of the date - is this William the right one ??

Remarks, A Black

yes -we know he died May 1823 and the correct age and origin - Scotland. The A Black apparently appears on quite a few death certs - was a mortician according to my cousin in NJ.

Gadget  ;)

Just received the copy of death cert. The A Black referred to the next person. Cousin's eyesight must be a bit iffy  :(

Cemetry is definitely Dutch Middle. I couldn't find it on your link Annie  :(

Now trying to find a marriage between him and this Ann(e).
