Yes that's her. She was born in Maidenhead and lived in Queen St as I mentioned before. I would like to find out the school that she attended. I think there was a list of schools in some previous postings.
I did a google search on pupil teacher systems and found out they started in 1846 from the age of 13 so that would fit in.

Dear Abiam
Just got back from a weekend away and found your message on Rose Montague. She was the daughter of Ellen and William. Can you please tell me what was theinformation and in which book?
Thank you
Ermyntrude

Dear Abiam
Just noticed photos you have put on site. I was on the photo of 1945. My head is just poking up at the back. Apparently we were at the front with one of my cousins until I kicked up a fuss and had to be taken by my mother to the back Nothings changed I still don't like my photo being taken very much!
I'll have to get that book.
Thanks Ermyntrude

Morning Everyone,
Just got back from 'the old homestead' and we were talking of Tyrells... Grandma tells me it was a row of tiny cottages...
Anyone got a photo?

Also, where did Bridge Road and Bridge Street start/finish.

Bridge Avenue was round by the bus station/cinema. I have an old map, well 1950ish and it doesn't show Bridge Street at all... Any idea's.

Lesanne.

I have a map in the book 'Maidenhead, A History & Celebration' which shows that Bridge Road started around  the river side of the Oldfield Road turning and Bridge Street was the road between that and the High Street

From Maidenhead Bridge to Oldfield Road... Bridge Road.
From Oldfield Road to ... (thinking of 9 High, the sweet shop) Bridge Street finshed at The Crown ??? PH.
Would the Crown of been Number. 1. Bridge Street.

I'm trying to locate 28 Bridge Road, in 1923/4

Looking up towards the town.. on the right.. between The Moor Tavern and The Gardeners Arms was Bromley's baker, Sleath's newsagent, Restuarant, Windsorfridge, numbered between 29-39, Bridge Road. This is in 1960/70.
