Hi yet again  ;)

Willing to spend a little time on this?

The complete death indexes are currently free to view here
http://content.ancestry.co.uk/iexec/?htx=List&dbid=8966&offerid=0%3a7858%3a0
but they are not indexed. You will have to view the indexes quarter by quarter for the years in which the death could have occurred.

Good luck!

Tanja  :)

PS I take it you are positive she didn't die in Ireland  :P

I was wondering what the significance of the dates you quote is?

I have checked 1922/ 23/ 24 & she isn't there, if that helps?  ;D

thanks guys i have also checked from 1917-1925 no luck ???
could she be a complete fabrication?
better check birth certs more indepthly they were married in1911 and had james first so it would of been after that and she was 4,i cant think what happened ???
i have a tiny mourning locket with a picture of a little girl in it nan said that her adoptive mum told her it was margaret, but the other side has a little boy in it a few years older supposedly james? as far as i know he was still alive when nan was married and my mum was a little girl,he went to india with the army and that was it,will search further :)

Decided to approach this from a different angle  ;)

With a mothers maiden name of Timmons(found on FreeBMD)

Margaret B Stafford born Pontypridd Sept 1/4 of 1912

James Stafford born Pontypridd March 1/4 of 1914.

Now we know when to look for a 4 year olds death.
Will do that next.

With the birth dates to go by I have now searched 1914/15 and 16 for Margarets death-but found nothing.

Is it possible that she was a lot older(teenager?) when she died.
Or that she had an accident with a candle when she was 4 but didn't actually die then?

Rellies tell you all sorts of stuff they firmly believe is true.
It's up to us family historians to prove them wrong  ;D ;D ;D
Or at least find out the true facts........and not let on half the time!

All the best
