This photo taken around 1900 has the dreaded sticky tape right across a tear in the middle. Can anyone help improve it or is it too far gone??

It's far from irretriviable, I'm sure someone can get it looking lovely for you

. This is my first attempt at a repair (I'm a colourer really!) so I hope it's not too bad!
