Welsh for 'Family Tree'? Completed

Can any Welsh speakers tell me what is the Welsh for 'Family Tree'? Is it a literal translation, or is there a Welsh phrase? None of my dictionaries help or the online translation services. Dw i'n dysgu Cymraeg. (I'm learning Welsh).

I think we would refer to it as 'Hel Achau' but others might give you a more literal translation

"Family tree" in Welsh is cofrestr hynafiaid (literally pedigree register) or rhestr achau (genealogical table).

As with many phrases and idioms, they cannot be literally translated.

... but then again D, hel achau describes it better - chasing/tracing one's family or ancestry

Don't know about chasing one's tree Gadget - more like wading through mud with the occasional moment of high flying ! 
And still we plod on with our hunt
