No interest in the family. But my Great Grandfather farmed at Boreham, Stock's Farm
Your Mason family came from Stow on the Wold, Gloucester.
They can be found on IGI, but difficult to sort who is who.
Excerpts from the Will of Ann Mason, d. 1832
This is the last Will and Testament of me, Ann Mason, of Ewell in the County of Surrey, Widow, which I make and ordain in manner following. That is to say, first I desire and direct that all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses be fully paid and satisfied out of my personal estate by my Executrixes hereinafter named.
And I do hereby give, devise and bequeath unto my dear sisters Esther Bailey and Jane Bailey, both of Ewell aforesaid, all and every my messuages or tenements, land, hereditaments and premises, and all the rest, residue and remainder of my real estate, whatsoever and wheresoever situate, and of what nature or kind soever, which I am in any ways seized or possessed of, interested in or entitled unto, in possession, re??ision, remainder or expectancy, or over which I have any disposing power, with the and every of their appurtenances, and all my plate, linen, china, household goods, money, debts, dues, demands, chattels, property and effects, and all the rest, residue and remainder of my personal estate, whatsoever and wheresoever, which I am now or shall or may be in any wise possessed of or interested in or entitled unto at the time of my decease, to hold the same and every part thereof unto and to the use and benefit of them, the said Esther Bailey & Jane Bailey, their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, according to the nature and quality thereof respectively, upon the trusts and for the ends, intents and purposes hereinafter expressed and declared, of and concerning the same.
... upon trust for the sole use and benefit of my only daughter, Ann Mason, and to be vested in my said daughter when and as she shall attain the age of twenty one years ....
But in case my said daughter, Ann Mason, shall happen to die under the age of twenty one years without leaving any issue of her body, lawfully begotten, living at the time of her death, then, and in that case and from and immediately after her decease, I give and bequeath the same and all accumulations of interest, if any, unto my said sisters, Esther Bailey and Jane Bailey and my sister Elizabeth Hughes, the wife of Robert Hughes, or such of them as shall then happen to be living, to and for their own absolute use and benefit, share and share alike, as tennants in common, and to, for and upon no other use, intent or purpose whatsoever.
And I do declare my will and meaning to be, and so direct, that the share or shares to which she, the said Elizabeth Hughes shall or may be entitled unto under the trusts of this my Will, shall notwithstanding any coverture she may be under, be paid into her proper hands alone, and shall not be subject or liable to the debts, intermeddling or control of her present or any future husband or husbands, and that her receipt only shall be a good and sufficient discharge for the same.
