Booking In
« on: Tuesday 26 October 04 10:16 BST (UK) »
Hello,
Just joined, finding my way around.   My interest at the moment - my gg-parents Robert and Elizabeth (nee Ralston) Wilson,  from Antrim OR West of Scotland, migrated to US where my grandmother Rebecca Wilson was born in PA 1872/3.   The family returned to UK, first event I can find is Rebecca's marriage to John Halliday in Glasgow 1894.
Next I will be looking up my MacDonalds and MacLeods in the Fort William area.
Fascinating! ???

Hello and welcome to roots chat.

Have you tried the search button yet? Type in your family names and see if anyone is researching the same name as you. :)
There is a lot of tips in the Begginers section too.

Also you can add your name interests in your profile( top of screen).

Good luck in your search

Whoever said seek and ye shall find was NOT a genealogist.

As we have learned, Peter, Rebecca was born in Manhattan in 1872 not Philadelphia to Robert and Elizabeth Roulston Wilson.
Robert was born about 1845 and Elizabeth about 1844 in
Northern Ireland.

Peter Wilson Halliday (1939-2008) aka farmer would have celebrated his 69th birthday on 28 August 2008. Happy
Birthday, farmer!
