Horndean, Ladykirk Berwickshire
« on: Thursday 29 June 06 03:19 BST (UK) »
I recently received a parish register for a 1745 baptism and it states that the father, william Clazy was in Horndean...can someone get me information about this parish?

Also...on the same register I received:  February 4th, Thomas, son of William Palin and Marjory Chirnside in Ladykirk.

June 15 - John, Son of John Small and Elspeth Robeson in.

April 30 - Jean, daughter of Wm Henderson and Jean MacDougal.

Another entry that is difficult to read...April 3 - Robert son of Thomas (can't quite make out the last name but looks like Mc.... and mother, Kathrine Warkington (looks like it).

Births and Baptisms, dated 30 January 1745, Ladykirk.
Tough, Keith, Kerr, Donaldson, Clazey, Stephenson, Jardine, Spry, Jewell. Oswald, Middlemiss, Harper, Carter, Hutchinson, Scott, Lamb.

Thank you for looking. The Parish Register I received for William says Horndean so...I am happy with what I have!! I have a Helen Kerr who married a James Clazey...late 1700s...these folks were all in the Borders area...
