I haven't been to one of their centres yet, can anyone tell me the following.

If you order a film to view at your local centre, say for example it's a birth record, what exactly do you get to see.

Is it just the persons name and date of birth or do you get all the details you would get on a birth certificate.

Hope someone can answer my query.

You won't get a birth certificate, you would get a baptism record. Information in that would vary.

However, if you are looking at marriages 1837- date, then the format is the same as one would see on the gro certificate.

i have ordered alot of films in at lds and have been lucky when i have ordered the parish record films in they actually are the certfiticates thats on them but ithink this depends on the area i ordered alot of durham ones in and this was the case and also for lincolnshire .upto 1837 its just the baptism records and from then on you can get the certificates it will all depend on the area you are looking for.
