Army Records -Dadds

Can anybody help me ?

Having problem with my Dad's side of family as his Father
Harold John Charles Dadds was born in Buttevant, Co Cork, ROI on 1/11/1892 to Henry John Dadds and Emily (nee Jones) and I cannot find record of Birth.
Henry John was in 1st Battalion, Essex Regiment stationed in Buttevant from April 1891.
Where would Harold's birth be recorded? local records or Army records ? if latter how do I find without trip to London.
By the way Henry John ended up as Chelsea Pensioner, would that help me ?
