I have the birth certificate of GEORGE SHERWOOD, b. 07-08-1855 at Hurst Green, Salehurst.  Father George Sherwood, husbandman; mother Mary Ann Sherwood, formerly Sanders.
As with the marriage cert. of the parents I was searching for my gt-grandfather, who turned up being born as George William Sherwood in Brighton in 1856.
