1851-1861 lookup please

Can anybody please help me find a THOMAS ABBS born about 1826 in Runton. His wife's name is REBECCA born about 1830, also in Runton. In 1841 Thomas was still in Runton.  Thanks

Is Rebecca his 2nd wife ?

It looks like they didnt marry till 1869 - and she was an Abbs too ..

Erpingham is the correcet Regn district

its not 100% clear if 2 Abbs kids in the household are hers, or previous kids of Sarah Dennis ...

Not done yet Joan ! It gets very curious in 1851 ..

PS. He wasnt married in 1851 or 1861 ...

Robert Dennis, 28 year old Bailiff is shown as the son of a Charles - 30 ! and Charlotte - 32 ! Loynes in Runton.

Also in the Household is what looks like his future wife Sarah Abbs, and another 'son' of Charles Loynes - Robert Abbs aged 9.

All relevant parties are as yet unmarried ... but no sign of a Rebecca Abbs in Runton ... there are others of the right age named ABBs - I think only 1841 will solve who Rebecca actually is ...

The Enumerator may have already had his 1st few pints of the day !

sigh 1841 is worse.

Theres 2 Rebeccas a little older than our lass says in later years - neither are with a sister Sarah ...

Theres 4 or 5 Sarahs the right age - and one is with the Dennis Family we saw in 1851 ... another of course is your Thomas sister...

So this Sarah IS Rebecca's sister, but we arent going to be able to see her with her parents - maybe Parish records will help here ..
