Help please..
« on: Saturday 08 July 06 19:04 BST (UK) »
Hi

Am having trouble in reading the date on this wedding certificate...ancestry gives the date as 1859, which does fit in with the birth date of their first child brn abt 1860.  But the more I look at it the more I think it could 1869

All suggestions would be a help..

Thanks

There is a marriage index entry for Mark Barnes in Teesdale RD for the June quarter of 1859.  So that would fit.  There isn't one in 1869.

Surely if you ordered it yourself, you ordered one for 1859?

Slightly puzzled.  ???

I did order it for the 1859 but the more I looked at it the more I began to question the handwriting..

many thanks for putting my mind at rest..
