1841 census lookup please (Kent)
« on: Thursday 13 July 06 21:40 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Looking for an ANN PEAT and a JOHN PEAT, the suspected siblings of my MARY PEAT (mother Sarah, father still a mystery) in either ORPINGTON or CHEVENING. Any information or clues gratefully received as i would like to find them a father at some point!
Thanks in anticipation

I did a search just on names and residence in Kent area as you gave no dates. I found no Ann & Johns together with a Mary as a mother.

BUT

I did find this
 Orpington, Kent HO107/484/15 Folio 18 Page 19

Sarah Peat 64 born in county
Mary Peat 21 born in county

Obviously not sure if this is what your looking for. Dates would help

Thanks Libby
I have Mary and Sarah Peat. I think Mary was the youngest child judging by her mothers age. No fathers name at baptism so maybe he died inbetween. Later census has a brother John Peat living with Mary(now COUSINS) and her family bn c1807 Chevening. Sarah Peat's death cert states her to be a widow but not of who. can find no other Peats with mother called Sarah in the Chevening records. Just have to widen the search i guess.
Thanks again though
Sandra
