Hi Chrissy,
Preussen is (Bob, correct me if I'm wrong!) the German/Prussian way of saying Prussia.  Prussia was a kingdom in what is now Germany, and Rhineland was a province of Prussia.

On a modern map, there is a locality called Bruchhausen near the Rhine River, about halfway between Bonn and Koblenz.

Hope that helps  :)

Hi Chrissy,

Prue is right:  Preussen = Prussia

most of what we now know as Germany was part of Prussia at one time or another, and was about a half of Prussia, at it's peak.

there is an active map here showing the borders of Prussia at different times

and more maps and history here.

and here is a map reference for Bruchhausen, where you can zoom in and out

Yes that is correct
Much of the former Prussia is now Poland
e.g.  Danzig = Gdansk
