Gusburn in Yorkshire above Halifax and Keithley
(over the tops is Gisburn in Lanc's)

In IGI b1813 Ellen Brearley Gisburn Yorkshire. and was OTP on marriage.

With the 1804/5 being april year start those days
and Your Ellen age 41 in 1851 with exact age in months could be 1810 with estimated could 1809.

With nothing turning up and the illiterate people round then and  'about age' (Verble)  as the  clerk could only write what he told and not unusual to bring ages near at marriage. (She Lied To Benny)
1804  bapt location Longwood????? strong coincidence!!

My G-Granny (Direct) gained 5 years from marriage 1867 age 20 to her death 1902 age 60. with an uncommon name (No Others) Tidmarsh.

I would reconsider her. read about ages at marriage those days.

There nothing in Scammadon, Stainland or Ripponden All Halifax/Huddersfield IGI hugh Wallis surounding areas or
BDM None conformist neither.

A look up for a known date is fairly easy but the number of sub parish in a 20 mile radius area of Huddersfield f/fiche search could take years.

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Longwood Chapelry
Baptisms: 1797-1956
Marriages: 1857-1974
Burials: 1797-1951

Bishops transcripts (BTs for short) were copies of parish registers made by the incumbents and sent at yearly intervals to the Diocesan office. There are often many discrepancies between a parish church's own registers and the copies sent to the Bishop.
1789-1798*, 1799-1812#, 1813-1846
* With Almondbury; # With Huddersfield

Benjamin was baptised at Slaithwaite, 19th October 1811, mother Sarah, abode Windy End, Golcar. I am as sure as possible that this is the correct one as it matches all other information.

I am leaving Benjamin and Ellen for now.

Nothing to do with your post*! but is worth reading for ideas to find outcomes even blundering through. Fleetwoods of Mirfield and she was happy with her outcome. Similar to yours.
