Here is some more info on Elizabeth Peppiatt Spickett b 1837 Little Brickhill Buckinghamshire.
As she was born before Civil records began ,I have got her brothers birth cert.
Philip born 9/9/1850 Little Brickhill , father John Spickett labourer ,mother Mary Spickett formerly Peppiatt.
So Mary was born 1814 Little Brickhill ........and from there I can find out nothing .Not sure when she married John Spickett but they had another son (William )  born in Croydon of all places ,then it would appear they went home to Buckinghamshire
Not sure if this of any help.Sorry it took me so long to order cert but ,as usual ,I've been off on a tangent.

Thanks for the information on the Peppiatt/Peppit burials listed in the Sharnbrook PR.   All these bits and pieces are very useful.

Marp'

I re looked-up all PEPs/PETs various spellings in the National Defence list 1803 - there are no Thomas's in North Bedfordshire that fit the bill[there are a couple of younger unmarried teenagers who wouldnt be yours]...

.....then I search through National Archives to see if your Thomas might be a ''regular'' soldier in the French Wars...

I had to look through all the ''Thomas's'' in Bedfordshire [WO = the Army Records] as the Army never knew how to spell place names! With no joy - so I believe your Thomas P was dead before 1803? As he would have shown up if he was alive somewhere?

Hi there, we certainly have the same couple as ancestors!   My ancestor is David son of Joseph Pettitt and Mary Ayres.  The name changed to Peppitt.  Mary Ayres parents were William Eyres and Ann Webb.

I have some material on the Ayres/Eyres/Ayers family and can track it back to a Thomas Eyers who married a Susan Collins ib 29 June 1733 in Roxton, Bedfordshire.

I would be delighted if you have more material on the Ayres.  Perhaps you could send me some information.

Thanks marp

I've got an Elizabeth Pettit (b.1652?) Riseley. I think her father was Thomas Pettit.
Elizabeth married Adami Sturges at Poddington 10/11/1681.

Hello Mary Lou,

The Riseley PR have baptism on July ?? 1652 of Eliz daughter of Thomas Pettitt. There is also another one on May 19 1650 - but I could not see a burial for Eliz in Riseley between 1650 - 1652

My info on the Elizabeth Pettit is very vague I'm afraid. It was what was passed on to me by a relative.
