1841 lookup please Rushden...

  Trying to work back on hubbies tree. Have found his 3x great grandfather Jesse Palmer b in Rushden @ 1833.
 IGI has Jesse as female for christening and male for marriage. It gives the following as parents....

  Looking for Owen Palmer
                     Mary Ann Palmer
         with son Jesse b 1832/33 all in Rushden.

     Jesse is still in Rushden in 1861 as a shoemaker. Any clues please.

  Hi Karenlee....

 No didn't have that one either so many thanks.
 I went for 1841 incase Owen was still alive but as you couldn't see Jessie then they must be under a mis-spelling.

Now I can work side ways a bit with an aunt & uncle so thanks again.

Hi Tazzie
In 1841 Jesse was in Higham Ferres with a William Marriot, his wife Harriet and their family - aged 9.  I'm not sure yet if he was related to this family, I'm trying to find out.  I think in the 1851 census the family he lived with as "nephew", the Sargents, it was the wife (Naomi) who was a sister to Jesse's father.  Owen Palmer died in 1835 in Rushden.  I think he had lost both his parents by 1841, poor thing, so was farmed out to family.  I know one of his sisters died aged about 2.
