Hoping someone can help.
I am hoping to find some information on:
Henry Carson Johnston
Birth: 1860 -
Northern Ireland
Parents: William Johnston & Mary Carson
1881 Census - Glasgow, Scotland Occupation - labourer
1888 July - Marriage - Lilley McKinley
1889 - Son William born - Scotland
1891 - Daughter Jane born - Scotland
1891 Census - Glasgow, Scotland Occupation - Photographist Artist
1901 - Can't find him anywhere
1909 - Immigrated to Canada
1911 Census - living at 18 Mutual Street Toronto Occupation Candymaker(?)
On the 1911 Census, I can't make out if he is a widower or not. His wife is not listed, nor are his children.
He had several brother's and sister's: James, Mary, William, Martha, Elizabeth and Robert. It is not known if any of them immigrated to Canada as well.
I would love to have details of immigration and/or death. He has been our brick wall for years, as we thought he immigrated to the U.S before 1900. I have just recently found him on the 1911 Census for Canada.
Thanks for any help.
Janice
