Sorry I'm new to this, I have paid for the 1911 and have that and I can see the 1901 census but earlier than 1901 I can't find them. Thanks.

That may help us find them earlier.
Where was the 1890  marriage?

If you look further up this thread, you will find John BRIAN in 1891 at reply no. 2, in 1881 (possibly) in reply no. 6 and/or reply no. 7, in 1861 in reply no. 8 and 1871 in reply no. 9.

I have managed to track the Brians back to 1880.
My dad was Sidney Brian son of John Walter Brian
John Walter Brian was brother to Arthur Brian
