It used to be easy, Annie, just use the  $$$ for filling in blanks...but now it
doesn't work, as with many databases right now...not sure if it's the browser
I use or what...So I just gave up & went to check out the names on the 1911 census...then tried them on the attestation site...

P.S. did I win anything? 8)
Oh, yeah, four smilies, right? ;D ;D ;D ;D

Once it is decided who the right guy is, if he is from British Columbia, contact me.  I live just a few minutes away from the provincial archives and I can get BMD registrations.
EVE, CARTER, HADLOW, BONES, all between Faversham and Canterbury, Kent, England

I have found a death in Ontario Elizabeth Cockrell, who appears to have been born in Essex.

I also found an Elizabeth Cockerl in the Canadian immigrant records.

I have also sent begging emails to a variety of cousins to see what they know.

I know where you are coming from, we have a census on Tuesday and for the first time they are going to keep them instead of destroying them, but only if you want them to, then they will release them in 99 years.

The begging emails to the 'lations paid off, yesterday I had an email from a descendant of Great Aunt Con (Elizabeth Constantia Steggel) together with a couple of wedding pictures dated 1907, and 1910, and a promise to fill me in with that part of the family, I would call that a succsess story, thank you for all your help.

William Francis Cockriell (Frank, as his dad was also a William) married in 1919 in Elmwood, which is a neighbourhood in Winnipeg, Manitoba

I have the right surname and an area to check in now, and a fathers name, but a couple of cousins are saying her name was Elizabeth Constantine and not Constantia, all the info another cousin and I have says Elizabeth Constantia, I will have to get the birth certificate I reckon.

Just have to go back to that Canadian site and dig I guess. I will hang a pic on the end of this, of the young lady in question aged nine in 1907.

http://tinyurl.com/ztmxe

http://tinyurl.com/ebcug   two references...

http://tinyurl.com/l5nu4   three references

Many referances to a Frank Cockriell as well as a "W.F." Cockriell
Interesting as shows promotions: storekeeper to fireman to foreman
Had a good positon, mid-century-  if this was he...and a pretty good salary for that time of over two thousand dollars a year, then 4 thousand plus!!!!!! ;D
If this is your man it even has his year of death!
