1851 Cressing? Richard Crozier
« on: Saturday 29 July 06 08:50 BST (UK) »
Out of all William and Sarah Crozier's children can only unaccount for Richard.  He was last seen with the family in 1841

1841 Cressing, Essex   HO107 343/5 5 p5
Cressing Street
William Crozier,    40, Ag Lab
Sarah Crozier,    40
Richard Crozier,    12
Charles Crozier,      8
Mary Crozier,      5
James Crozier,      3
/
Mariah Challis, 9 m
All b. CressingEssex

I have looked on the free BMD for a death with no luck and without knowing where he may have moved cannot pick up on a marriage.

Would be pleased if someone could find him and it would tidy up this family.

Thanks for looking

Hi Kissimmee

This could be Richard

1851 Census England Essex Braintree
HO107/1785/580/26
Hyde Field Road

In the Inn of Joseph ATTWOOD ??( really appalling handwriting here)

CROZIER Richard Lodger Unmarr 22 Ag Lab Essex Cressing

Hi Karenlee,
I am sure you have found my man and I am grateful to have at least this much on him.
Many thanks for your time and effort

Do you know if he was actually William Richard Crozier, known by his second name maybe to avoid confusion with his dad?? Theres a William Crozier b. 1829 Cressing on the 1871 census in Chelmsford, Essex (Hawker age 42 "mar") with wife Louisa, lodging at the Black Boy Inn, Springfield Road

Hi CatOne a very good point you have there about him being William Richard.  Have put in a separate request for the births/baptisms of William and Sarah's children in the hopes that he was William Richard.  Even if it isn't the correct Richard I will keep you finding as I am sure he will fit in somewhere eventually
Thanks for your help
