I'm looking for a birth/baptism of Lucy Clayton at Pocklington around 1793.  The IGI doesn't appear to have baptism records at Pocklington between 1716-1813.  I'd be very grateful if someone could look this up for me.  As I live in Gloucestershire, I have no way of getting to Hull, where I presume the records would be held.

The records will actually be at Beverley, and it could be difficult to get at them until next year, because the Record Office is moving to a new building.  After that, you could probably write to them for the information.
Godden in East Sussex, mainly Hastings area.
Richards in Lea, Gloucestershire, then London.
Williamson in Leith, Vickers in Nottingham.
Webb in Bildeston and Colchester.
Wesbroom in Kirby le Soken.
Ellington in Harwich.
Park, Palmer, Segar and Peartree in Kersey.

The Borthwick Institute also has the Pocklington registers on film for this period.

I'll make a note to look-up Lucy for you next time I go but may be a few weeks away, unless someone can get to them sooner for you.

Thanks for the offer Pinetree.  I'll be going to York uni in October so I might as well have a look at it then but I forgot to post it here.  I might as well do it while I'm there.
