I am researching family names of:-

Coffin, Durrant, Burt, Chinnock, Ashford, Harding

from Ditcheat, Evercreech, Millborne Port, Sturminster areas.

Hi

I have a Hannah Coffin b 4 Mar 1798 in Henstridge, d 31 Jan 1858, parents Thomas Coffin and Mary ?

Also

Samuel Durrant b bef 1804, who married Amelia A'Court 20 Feb 1817 in Folke, Dorset, and their son George b 1821, Folke, Dorset.

Any help to you?

Sturminster is in Dorset

Sturminster

Bellchalwell, Childe Okeford, Fifehead Magdalen, Fifehead Neville, Hammoon, Hanford (from 1862), Hazelbury Bryan, Hinton St. Mary, Ibberton, Lydlinch, Manston, Marnhull, Okeford Fitzpaine, Shillingstone, Stalbridge, Stock Gaylard, Stoke Wake, Stourton Caundle, Sturminster Newton, Wooland.
Registers now in North Dorset district

Have you tried a request on the Dorset Board too ?
Better still, do an advanced search on the Dorset Board for your names, as there are other COFFIN and DURRANT searchers there too !

Also: Check out your names on the Dorset OPC site, www.dorset-opc.com - lots of 'em !

I was also going to suggest checking the Surname Interest table, but I see some of your names are already there  ;D  But only some  :o  where's the rest  ???
