Minnie Beatrice Bard born 1878, where is she on the 1901?

Hi,

I'm doing some research for my best friend but I'm stuck already!!!

Can anyone find her great grandmother on the 1901 census?  I have her on previous censuses but want to know if she was married by 1901 and if she was where was her hubby from.

Her name was Minne Beatrice Bard and she was born in 1878 in Southsea but lived all her life in Birdham, Sussex.

Her parents were James Samuel Pelly Bard and Eliza (possibly Luff).  James was a Master Butcher and Publican in Birdham.

Minnie married James Platt (possibly from Lincolnshire).  I have no idea when or where.

Ideally I'd like to find them on the 1901 census assuming they had married by then.

Thank you Joe,

The 1901 is more than probably right (I think) as everything for Minnie adds up to what I know.  I wonder if Pratt/Platt was misheard or mistranscribed?  Maybe my friends mum got James/Charles name wrong?  I'll ask her.

What year was the marriage you found?  The men's names don't fit do they? hmmmmm whats going on there?

I can't see the marriage either, but this birth looks right so they are PRATT.

I'm not so sure it's right then as my friends mum is sure it was Platt, her mother was Mary Elsie Ruby Platt and she is sure that MER Platt's father was James...

Can't get my head around around this. FreeBMD throws up very few matches for Minnie Bard, as you can imagine. The only other marriage I see is a Beatrice M Bard marrying a William H Clark in 1912  ::)
