I am looking for pre 1860 info on Jane M. Medley, who is located in the 1860 usa census in ohio, rush township, tuscarawas county. She is staying with the family of:
Jacob Figley 63
Thomas Figley 19
Jonas Figley 16
Jane M Medley 28
Leander Medley 4
I think Leander may be Jane's son, but have no info on whether she is widowed or not. There is also a Joel Davis family as a neighbor of the Figley household in this 1860 image.
Interestingly enough, there is a Leander (Baker) McClellan working on the farm of the same Joel (Joeal) and Mary Davis family in the 1870 Newville Township, DeKalb County, Indiana census.
I am trying to determine how Leander got the McClellan name and how Jane Medley fits in.
