Apologies for my short absence but I realised it wasn't John and Alis but the two James Ede b 1847. I've working away on the 1881 census and Free BMD and finally placed them, got the wives maiden names and found other child for one marriage

I've also found another Alfred EDE b 1863 Dorking cousin of the Holmwood James EDE and his brother William. Can't find parents or who he belongs as I don't have him in 1871 on any census.

I shall now take a look at what you've been up to which appears again to be a lot!!!!
