EABORN - anyone else looking?
« on: Friday 25 August 06 02:28 BST (UK) »
Hi All

Doing some research for a friend whose surname was EABORN before her marriage.  It appears that they were mostly from Warwickshire, maybe some from Worcestershire.  Charles EABORN and his wife Elizabeth nee MARSHALL and two children John and Clara, sailed to Australia in about 1853.  Interested in making contact with anyone else also looking into this family.
I have checked all the Census and done the Free BMD and Familysearch sites and gotten lots of information.

Would like to hear from anyone else researching this family name.

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Hello Karenlee

Yes there are lots of folk with this surname and variant spellings, Eburn/e, Eborn/e etc.

My group are Eburne's in Coventry. family with as I said many spellings, go back to the dim and distant past in that city, not that I can get back that far.

You could try there. Allesley and Ryton on Dunsmore are other places you could try. All Warwickshire.

Sorry, my family does not include yours as far as I know.

There was a massive data base on the net - all variants of Hepburn, which included Eburne, but I have lost a lot of info recently and now cannot find it. Does anyone else know about it?

Good Luck

Pelican

Many thanks Pelican.  I will start Googling for that database tonight.  Hope that something useful comes up.

Good luck with your research.
