Dear r973g:

Thank you very much for posting this data and for taking the trouble to look them up.

i knew absolutely nothing about John ROACH's family, therefore, I appreciate the marriage(s) info.

When you say "other marriages of females that appear to be siblings of John later" do you mean there are other marriage on the PRs, other than those which you posted (Robert  1851
Hester 1843
Mary 1842
Ray ) ?

Kind regards
Javajune

Hi javajune,
Although I have no real interest in Roach's I do have an interest in Letcombe Regis hence I have the P R's on CD.
Since my last I have had a look through baps. as well and found the following.
1765 Jane Roach m Wm. Whitehorn
30/1/1777 Edw. Roach m Martha Bunting
2/7/1786 Wm. Roach m Henrietta Wise
27/2/1794 Harrietta Roach m Benjamin Fidler
2/8/1811 Wm. Roach m Ann Wood (from Wantage)
5/1/1838 John Roach m Martha Andrews
Fathers:- John's was William a Publican
                Martha's Thomas a Lab.
1815 Robert to Wm & Ann b 25/11 bap 25/12
1818 Esther  "    "         "   b 9/12    bap 25/12
1821 Mary     "    "         "   b 29/3    bap 20/4
1812 John     "    "         "   b 14/9    bap 20/9 (privately)
Presumably he was not expected to live, I did look for another John but not bapt. there or Letcombe Bassett
Earliest Roach I found there was a Jane, married 1765.
Hope this helps you on your way.

Hi Ray:

Fantastic.  I really appreciate that.  I can't connect the 18th century ROACHs yet.  Perhaps someone will read this thread who can.  All the best.  Javajune

Having done some more trawling, Have found the earliest  burial, Robert 29-4-1721/2 plus many more BMD's from then through until at lest 1826. you might find it worth while gettin the CD of Wantage Reg District from OFHS.

Hi Ray:

I did post a reply to you last Monday.  It does not show up here so I must have done something wrong!

I took your advice and went to the OFHS website.  As my wallet permits...   Javajune

I was interested to see this post as I am descended from this family - June were you the one that wrote to my brother Richard?
My gt gt grandfather was William Roach of Letcombe Regis and thanks to recent help appear to go back to William Roach who married Harriet Wise 1786 Letcombe Regis.
I will study these posts further and welcome ant further help.
