C17 baptism in York
« on: Saturday 26 August 06 10:14 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I've located a depostion given by an ancestor Henry Johnson in 1711 in which he says he is 36 years old and was born in York. Other documents show he was wildly inaccurate about his age, but he was probably born 1670-1685.

I'm unfamiliar with York genealogy & wonder if anyone could tell me which churches I should be looking at and where I can access their records.

thanks,

Mike
